SIGMA Compact 2000 Commissioned in Russia

SIGMA COMPACT 2000 model asphalt plant with 160 t/h capacity has been installed and commissioned in Vladikavkaz city of Russia

The 160 tons/hour hot mix asphalt production plant was shipped from the factory to Vladikavkaz city, situated at the foothills of the Caucasus Mountains, in late 2020. The installation was completed in April, and the plant began operations in May 2021.

In line with the general practice in Russia, it features two filler silos for both recovered and mineral filler, each with a capacity of 55 tons. To accommodate the two types of filler in the mix, the plant’s scope of supply includes two separate elevators and two intermediate hoppers with dosing screws to feed the filler scale.

Bitumen heating is facilitated by thermal oil, so the plant is also equipped with a thermal oil heater.

The computer-controlled plant has an automatic fiber dispensing unit and a 72 ton capacity hot-mix bin under the tower. The hot-mix bin’s two separate compartments can store two different recipes of asphalt and additionally the mix can be discharged directly onto truck through the central direct discharge chute.
