SIGMA Prima 240 in Uzbekistan

PRIMA 240 model SIGMA Asphalt Plant with a capacity of 240 tons/hour operates successfully since September 2020 in Uzbekistan.

In late February 2020, the prominent Uzbek company placed an order for the PRIMA 240 model asphalt plant with SIGMA. Despite facing pandemic-related challenges, SIGMA diligently completed the production of the plant and arranged its shipment in early May, utilizing 18 trailer trucks. Installation, however, was postponed until August due to quarantine measures and travel restrictions.

The plant was successfully assembled within four weeks, despite the less-than-ideal circumstances, and commenced operations in mid-September. During the test runs, the plant demonstrated outstanding performance and produced high-quality hot-mix asphalt.

Before placing the order with SIGMA, Uzbek company officials visited other SIGMA asphalt plants in Kyrgyzstan and Azerbaijan. They spoke with site managers to evaluate the plants’ performance and assess their satisfaction with SIGMA products. Ultimately, they were convinced of SIGMA’s quality and decided to purchase their new asphalt plant from SIGMA.

The fully automatic, computer-controlled asphalt plant represents SIGMA’s first reference in Uzbekistan. The plant operates on natural gas and includes thermal oil heated bitumen tanks and a 1,000,000 kCal/h capacity oil heater. Additionally, the filler system consists of a tower-type silo with divisions for 40 tons of recovered filler and 40 tons of mineral filler.
